Dr. Kilisimasi completed his PhD in engineering from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2012. He joined the University of Auckland in January 2021 and currently leads the Maori and Pasifika Engineering Research Centre (MPERC) alongside Dr. Tumanako Fa'aui.
